At Clark and Weightman we are experienced in providing clients throughout the Humber region with planning and development advice. Planning is the central component of the property development process, improving the quality of our built environment and our client’s asset value. We advise on all types of property asset and cover each stage of the planning and development lifecycle.
The range of developments in which we may be involved is substantial and includes affordable housing, healthcare, hotels and leisure, retail, office developments, institutional property, industrial, mixed use, new homes and rural property developments. Our advice equally covers a range of activities within planning and development including advice on heritage building, new developments, and sustainability and regeneration projects. We will often take leadership on our clients’ behalves on planning applications and negotiations, starting with scoping the project content.
We also become involved in planning appraisals and development advice and will often support clients in the process of engaging with the community and with stakeholders such as local authorities, interest groups and neighbours to ensure that development proposals are managed sensitively and successfully.
We work closely with clients whether it be on an initial discussions with local planning authorities before submitting a planning application or more complex appraisals where we might be looking at a large development project where our advice might include the viability of the proposed scheme.
Usually in this work our key team members will liaise with the client’s existing planning and design team; occasionally we bring in our own external chartered town planning consultants to provide best advice to the client.
We are here to help you whatever the size or nature of your proposed project.
